When someone calls you up and asks if you can make their rocks come to life, always tell them “yes”. That’s how I got my latest job, animating a video for family music artist Kelli Welli. She’d seen the animations I’d made for “I Am Your Food”, and wanted to know if I could apply my storytelling skills to her song about a spirited pistachio and his circle of non-nut pals. I explained to her that my talent for drawing/painting is limited at best, and she said no problem; she already had all the characters and backgrounds ready to go. So she sent me the artwork and the song, and I got to work – check it out!
