Hovering, Hoping... In the late 90's, during the long commute to my job writing video game music, I would struggle with where my life was headed, and how stuck I felt. I felt like this job was NOT me, I could almost taste the possibility of something more rewarding, but I couldn't seem to move, I was locked, flighless. The commute itself was ugly, but at one point the freeway passed by a mountain, a glimpse of beauty, of something that lifted my spirits. This song came to me over many days while driving past that mountain towards my everday life... I was pleased beyond measure when my friend and fellow singer Curran Reichert sang this song to a crowd of 100,000 at the Millenium March in Washington, D.C. in 2,000.
