Old Mr. Mackle Hackle
David Jouris I first met David through his brilliant line of postcards. I was a huge fan of his work and approached him about making some postcards for The Bobs. He declined. But some years later our paths crossed again when he and my wife were taking the same monoprint classat UC Berkeley. We became friends. David is a guy who delights in creating one-of-a-kind gifts and cards for various occasions - We've got a folder full of his work, and some of his gifts decorate our walls. He took the most beautiful photos of our wedding. Not only are his postcards the bomb, but he's the author of two humorous and fascinating books published by 10 Speed Press - "All over the Map" and "All over the Map Again". His next book is a series of books full of quotations, and the book that's in the works had him journeying to hell and back all up and down Europe for 4 months - I've seen slides of the work, it's stunning. He may be the subject of my next documentary...
